Alison Brie was born 29 December 1983 in Pasadena, California, USA. Her mother was a community college teacher and Jewish so when she showed an interest in acting, she became performing at the Jewish Community Center in Los Feliz. Her first acting role was “Toto” in the Wizard of Oz.
After graduating from South Pasadena High School in 2001, Alison attended California Institute of the Arts where she received her BFA (Bachelors in Fine Arts) in Acting. She was also one of the original cast members in the world premiere of The Peach Blossom Fan and also studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland.
One of Alison’s first television roles was “Nina”, a novice hairdresser on Hannah Montana and she soon went to star in the web series My Alibi. She auditioned and won the role for “Trudy Campbell” on AMC’s Mad Men. She also stars as “Annie Edison” in NBC’s Community.
